Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text). When you build a CV, we store the CV content you enter — including personal details, work history, education, and any documents you upload, such as certificates or transcripts.
If you use AI-assisted features (such as importing an existing CV or tailoring a CV to a job posting), the relevant text or file is sent to our AI provider to generate suggestions. We do not use your CV data to train any AI models.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide the core service: building, storing, and exporting your CVs; processing subscription payments; and sending account-related emails (such as password resets). We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Where your data is stored
Your account and CV data are stored in a secured database. Uploaded documents (CVs, transcripts, certificates) are stored using a managed file storage provider. Payment processing for paid subscriptions is handled by our mobile money payment partners (Elicate Pay and Jjuma Pay) — we do not store your mobile money PIN or full payment credentials.
Your rights
You can access, edit, or delete your CVs and account information at any time from your dashboard. If you would like your account and all associated data permanently deleted, contact us and we will process the request.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your light/dark theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
